The multi-purpose room "Estrel hall" in the Estrel Hotel hosts more than 300 events per year. The hall can be changed in size from 12 to 33m depth.
Up to 2004, conventional speaker systems with additional delayed speakers were used. These setups were individually made for each event and caused high personnel costs.

The Estrel Hotel contacted searching for an elegant solution; a system which could be permanently installed and simply re-programmed to suit the needs for the different hall sizes.

suggested the use of DSP-controlled line-arrays of type Duran Audio Intellivox-2c vor. These are capable of throwing the required distance and can easily be re-programmed by the hotel's own service personnel. The client was delighted and ordered the speakers directly after a listening test.

was then asked to simulate and program the system for the three different setups and also trained the hotel's personnel to use the new technology.

The minimized costs for individual setups now enables the hotel to rent the system to the hall's clients for a competetive price; the investment was amortized very quickly.
